Honeycomb Housing

I am attempting to design not just a single temporary housing unit but an entire system of structures interacting with one another. I am focusing initially on the US military as the users of this environment as a base but the goal is for anyone in need during crisis. The design is for single flat panels being connected into a hexagonal shape that then all connect together to form a network. I have chosen the hexagon because it mathematically the most intelligent shape because it has the most square footage with the least amount of perimeter. This project is still in the concept phase and am moving forward to finalize the design and materiality, as well as, create a scaled prototype.
