Pomme De Terre​

 

For my final studio assignment, we were given a six thousand square foot dining space as our site and program. Initially we were asked to analyze an assigned food, in my case a Belgian Waffle. From there we made concept models with a single material based on certain aspect of the food. The words I had chosen are molding and draping. I then chose the program of a single ingredient menu, specifically potatoes to incorporate a heavy focus on a bar area. The design itself is a molding structure pushing into a skin eventually made up of potato plants at different opacities for different levels of light and privacy.
